Need more info like what brand is it.

You may need to change the filter on this and also try to just reset your air conditionor,

i bought the air conditionor new and it will not cool what can i do

May be transmission problem with your PCB. Repair it.

you let the water drop in the header tank by how much?? half a gall!!! there must be a very big warter leak there some were,,,letting the water drop so far has let air into the water jaket in the engine so you need to bleed this air out from the bleed velve in one of the top water hoses,,,
your a lucky chap to get away with this one??? carry a big bottol of rad seal around with you?

could be several things...if all is working/blowing and its clean inside & outside with a clean filter then more then likely it's low on gas/freon......if you continoue to run it it'll pobly ice up/freeze......also make sure you hear the compressor running as well as the fan blowing. sometimes this can be tough listen for that deep rumble/humming sound thats the compressor.

you will find it on the passenger side on the fire wall to the bottom you'll see a short hose sticking out with a soft wire push it through and be careful not to pock a whole the evaporator. if this information has been useful please let us know good luck
