I dropped my Asus eee pc 1001px laptop and now the right side of my screen is covered in multicolored vertical lines. What might the problem be, other than the fact that I'm clumsy?

The screen is physically damaged and will need to be replaced. Your only option is really to get it fixed. Sorry no quick fixes for this one.

Your LCD panel is cracked. It needs to be replaced. Generally physical damage to LCD panels is not covered under warranty by manufacturers, so you are better off going to a PC repair shop and have them order the replacement screen for you. If you are comfortable taking apart the system you should be able to find a replacement screen on ebay.

Just turned comp on. aabout 1/3 of screen has got vertical lines of different colors. Turned off and turned back on, still there

Sounds like one of two possibilities. 1) The video controller is bad. 2) The screen is bad. If the video controller is bad then most likely you will have to have the motherboard replaced. If the screen is bad that would have to be replaced. Either option is doable but may cost between $100 to $200 depending on availability of parts and the person doing the replacing.

How much is that product now in philippine peso

This is a very old system, but you can still find a handful of retailers carrying this item at http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=Asus+Eee+PC+2G&output=nojs&cid=3743399835161363590#p.
As of 27 March 2011, it was available for US $252 (12,645 Phillipine pesos). For US $258 (12,905 Phillipine pesos), you can pick up an ASUS Eee PC 1001PX-EU27, which comes with twice the RAM, 250 GB (versus 2 GB) of storage, faster wi-fi, and a 10" screen instead of 7" -- larger keyboard also, which is far more usable.
I really see no reason not to go for the newer computer--at least check it out at http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-1001PX-EU27-BK-10-1-Inch-Netbook-Black/dp/tech-data/B004GL00TU/ref=de_a_smtd

The screen has multicolored lines running vertical thru the left half of it, obscures everything on that side. seems ok if hooked to an external monitor

It seems that your Eee PC's integrated display has a problem. I have had this problem myself and if you still have a guarantee the manufacturer should replace the display. Otherwise pay for a new display or deal with it:D

Hi, The right side of my screen has gone black and does not display. When i turned it on it, the right side flickered for a short time before going black. It is a Asus Eee PC 1001PX. Please...

Make sure your desktop resolution is set to the maximum supported by your netbook. The flickering, however sounds like your LCD may be shot. If it's still under warranty, contact the manufacturer. If it's not under warranty, you should be able to Google for your laptop model and "replacement LCD". It's not too difficult a process to replace the LCD, but does require a bit of finesse.
