I rebooted and now microsoft office word keeps asking for produch key . i got it used and do not have it .what # can i put in

Hmnnn, probably you had a free edition of office suite application installed on your computer which will be valid for only 60 days. If you wish to continue using all the application of office suite, you will have to purchase the full version of office suite.
-See the following link for the price comparison: http://news.office-watch.com/t/n.aspx?articleid=1360&zoneid=10 If you wish to continue using the free trial version again, you will have to install different version of office trial suite again. -For example, If you had Office 2010 Home and Student trial edition installed on the computer before and it is expired, you can uninstall it and install the Office 2010 Professional trial edition on the computer which will be valid for another 60 days.
Link: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try/
However, you also have the option of using the open office suite which is absolutely free. The open office suite provides all the features and functionality of the Microsoft application.
You can download the open office suite for free from the following link:

Microsoft Office Suite 2008

Do a "Complete" install - the next screen should give you the chance to select the items that you want to have installed on the computer.

Click on each one that you DO NOT want - select "Entire feature will be unavailable" - and leave Word alone.

Continue the Install process and only Word will be installed.

Good luck.

Motherboard upgrade??

Dear kaname,

Your computer can support Windows XP, which has better hardware support and compatibility with the 2003 Office suit. XP also updates your hardware automatically once you are on the internet. You might want to try this.

Keep in mind that the older the Operating System, the harder it is for Office suites to compat. Newer Operating systems have better support for your computing. If you don't have HDD problems, the BIOS should not prevent you from loading SP2 for Win2000.

Conclusion:

1. The SP2 Source Disk may have a problem
2. The Win 2000 you have already loaded may be missing components, preventing the SP2 to load.
2. Notton Antivirus versions and the 2003 office both reject Win 2000. They just don't like it; it's getting too old.

Get with it, Kaname!!!!
