My note book keeps saying ' there is a problem with the websites security certificate'. How do I fix this?

IMHO:
Side question, just to make sure you are secured with wifi /LAN. Shouldn't impact really your problem. But just in case: Is your wifi secured? Should be with at leas WEP or better (and standard meanwhile )WAP2.
If yes, make sure you are r e a l l y / only with Google in the URL bar.
Skip or accept certificate, if your OS allows for that option.
Looks like it does and hence you have a "false positive" error detection.
Don't know if that helps.
Please feed-back.
Thanks.

Windows security center

If this is your router and you've forgotten the username or password we suggest that the router be reset and then setup with a new username and password.
Default username and password
Before doing a hard reset on the router you may want to try the default username and password. While this is not the same for all routers, this may allow you access to your router.
Username: Admin or Administrator
Password: <Blank>, try just pressing enter or try "admin" as the password as well.
If this does not work and you believe the router is using the default username and passwords try viewing the default settings at routerpasswords.com
Sometimes when attempting to visit a secure website on your Windows computer, you will receive a message about a security certificate error.
You will have the option of whether to continue to the site.
Secure websites, such as an online bank or retail store, use security certificates so your browser knows that any financial or personal information you enter on the website will go the correct place securely.
Every error message does not necessarily indicate a security problem on the website.

Check your computer's date and time.
If they are incorrect, you will receive security certificate errors.
Click on the time in your taskbar, and set the correct time in the pop-up window.
Refresh the website where you received the error message.
If you receive a security certificate error message again, the problem lies with the website's security certificate.
Click the icon that looks like a padlock next to your browser's address bar.

Read the information in the window.
This will detail who owns the website, the site's verification status and any known information about the website's trustworthiness.
Compare this to what you know about the site you were attempting to visit.

Click "View Certificates, then "Install Certificates."
Click "Yes" at the security warning to install the certificate for the website.

I am trying to access my hotmail account and get "access denied" - you don't have permission to access "/D/864/193170/000/sslcachekey.bayw.mail.live.com/default.aspx?id=64855" on this server

I had this problem a short time ago, and it resolved when I signed in to my outlook account on my laptop. I never used it that way before, but this seemed to be needed. Otherwise try using Firefox brouser to go to Hotmail.

Certificate error on web site.

This is basically an Internet Explorer 7 Website’s Security Certificate problem! You have to self-sign the certificate on the client computer or add the URL manually to the trusted security zone. When you are trying to access a secure web page, you receive the warning message:

"There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority."

Or

"Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept data you send to the server."

To fix this issue, you can follow either of the methods:

Method 1:

You have to install the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 (Windows SBS) self-signed certificate on the client computer. To do this, follow these steps:

  • In Windows Internet Explorer 7, click Continue to this website (not recommended).
A red Address Bar and a certificate warning appear.
  • Click Certificate Error button to open the information window.
  • Click View Certificates > click Install Certificate.
  • Click Yes, to install the certificate, when warning message appear.

Note: For Windows Vista users, right click on Internet Explorer icon. Select Run as Administrator.

Method 2:

Add the URL to the Trusted Sites security zone:

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Go to Menu bar > Tools > Internet Options.

    tool.jpg
  • Click Security > Trusted sites > Sites

    sec.jpg
  • Type the URL in the Add this website to the zone text box > uncheck Require server verification >Add > click OK

    trust.jpg
  • Click OK to exit.

Now you have added the URL successfully into the Trusted Sites security zone.
