Every time I dry sheets, they end up in a ball, and do not dry thoroughly. HELP

Sheets tend to bind together when dried, an easy fix for that is toss in a clean tennis shoe to help with the tumbling action

My dryer dries clothes on the timed dry setting , but not on auto dry. could this be the heat sensor going ?

Find your sensor inside the drum and get some cotton balls and a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Dampen a cotton ball and rub it across the sensor bars in the dryer. If it comes back blue, keep rubbing with new cotton balls until they come back with no color. Do this especially if you use dryer sheets. Those sheets end up coating the sensor with a film and then the sensors will not detect the moisture. Hope this helps!

Clothes roll into a ball on matag dryer

As you insert the clothing into the dryer make sure you open up the larger pieces fully so they do not ball up. Frequently people put large bed sheets in before opening them up and everything gets rolled inside them. If your load is too small, that might happen, also!

My king-sized sheets (only thing in load) are getting tangled in a ball in the dryer and not getting dry.

This is pretty common with lighter fabrics and is easily remedied. Put several new tennis balls in with the sheets to keep them from balling up. There are commercial products that do the same thing, but tennis balls are much less expensive.

When I dry sheets they ball up into a twisted wad and do not dry evenly. Do you have advice for this problem?

Lisa I find if you put sheets in with other items such as towels this can work to prevent them rolling into a ball and not drying evenly.

Sheets and bedding get balled up in dryer and don't get dry.

Balls don't work. The only solution is to unball the sheets every few minutes. It is the dryers fault: they way it's designed. It's not the milkman's fault.

Sheets wind together in a damp ball

I have a different model Bosch dryer, but I have the same problem.

I've found that the flat sheets dry okay if you have them in with other things (like pillowcases and t-shirts). I learned long ago though that you can't put those things in with deep fitted sheets; the little stuff winds up caught in the corners in damp wrinkly wads.

So I dry the fitted sheet separately, and throw in a couple of clean tennis balls. They're noisy, but harmless, and they keep the sheet from balling up.
