I have a yellow button beside my printer and it says that i am offline. I have unplugged and made sure that everything was connected, also i have turned it off and started it again.

SOURCE: After one print, it goes Offline

Turn off the SNMP option in the TCP/IP printer port Properties

Right-click the printer, select properties
Select port tab, highlight port, click Configure Port
UnCheck SNMP status Enabled.

This fix was given to me from Xerox Tech support.

RIGHT CLICK ON THE PRINTER ICON AND SET IT AS A DEFAULT PRINTER, THEN TRY IT AGAIN, IF IT DOES NOT WORK THEN RELOAD THE DRIVERS TO GET IT WORKING

SOURCE: 2040 keeps telling me it's offline disconnected

Your drum cartridge may be used up. Replace it.

Says printer offline
"Offline" means it can't connect to the printer. Check all the wires from computer to printer, unplug and re-plug. Unplug printer from wall, wait 30 seconds, plug back in. Make sure printer is on.

Why is my savin offline
is it unplugged from the network. is there a link light ON beside the network cord. Press the Printer button on the control panel and be sure the ON LINE is selected. Look in your Printers and Faxes folder and see if Work Offline is selected.

Printer is offline
Hi Lacey,
Disconnect the printer completely and unplug from power.Reboot your PC.Check for any jammed papers in the printer paper paths,these may cause the printer to 'go offline.'
Connect everything again and make sure its well connected to your PC.
Turn the printer off and on again.Problem solved?
If not,uninstall the printer[hoping you have the installation disks],reboot your PC again and install the printer software again.

Took out drum, and yellow cartridge to release jam, cannot get yellow back in
On the topmost part of the printer, there are four buttons in the following order (top to bottom): Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.

Besides the four button is another button with 4 dots (Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow with a rotating arrow), press this once and you will see that the Yellow button on the left will light up, press it again and the light besides Magenta will light up and so on. Anyway, you get the idea.

Just keep on pressing it until the light besides Yellow lights up again. When it does, lift the top cover of your printer and insert the yellow toner.

Hi there,
  • Unplug the printer cable from the computer.
  • Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
  • restart the computer
  • try to download drivers from the website
  • after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer.
  • then you can connect the printer and and try to Print the test page.

Canon MP 600 Will Not Turn On .... grumble.
I had this same issue. Lost power in the house for just a second, but after the printer would not turn on. I think that the loss of power caused the printer to get stuck in a locked state. Tried everything I could think of including changing outlets that the printer was plugged into but nothing seemed to work. Saw a troubleshooting tip on the Canon webpage about unplugging the unit for 5 minutes and thought it was hooey, but tried it anyway. Ended up leaving the unit unplugged for probably 15 minutes and when I re-plugged it in it fired right up.

Offline problem...won't print
Unplug it and then re plug it in; I suggest USB connection over anything else; don't worry about self install if you already have done so in the past. In the print > hit properties on the icon for bubblejet > go to the ports tab > scroll all thw way to the bottom and click the "USB" checkbox. and you should be good.
