2.Press the"Auto/Select" button on the front of your computer's monitor. Thescreen will be wavy while the adjustment happens. When the screen stops beingwavy, the faded colors should no longer be visible.

I have an HP7540 monitor that I need to be able to change red, blue and green colors on thru the menu

I hope you know how to enter and navigate through the OSD (On-Screen Display) menu of your monitor.
Enter the menu and navigate to 'Color' menu.
Under that select 'User'.
Now you can select either Red, Green or Blue.
After selecting a color it can be increased or decreased.
Press Exit button to go back, select the next color and set it to your liking.

No picture on screen but power supply is OK

Here is a couple of suggestions for this monitor. 1st check your connection to the computer.
make sure the VGA/HDMI/DVI is properly connected. 2nd check to see if the monitor is setup
to use the right source. Some monitors do this automatically others may need to be manually set.
either look for a button to do this or bring up the monitors menu by hitting the menu button. If the monitors menu button does'nt bring up a menu when the computer is off then the monitor is probably bad.

If the monitor works until the OS boots then goes black. The video card in your computer is set up
improperly with the monitor . In Windows hit F8 as the OS boots this will cause the computer to boot in safe mode. Once in safe mode right click on the desktop then go under properties then settings and change the display option to the correct monitor. You can also go to the device manager in my computer under system information, hardware, device manager and change the monitor here also.

I have an ACER X203H and cannot adjust the contrast or the brightness. I can bring up the MENU, however I cannot adjust because when I HIT ENTER the menu disappears.

Press the Menu key on the Monitor to bring up the dialog box press Menu again because it defaults to the Brightness Icon. You will see the lower half of the dialog box change color. Use the left or right arrow to move off of Acer eColor Management to the User setting. Then press Menu again to edit contrast or brightness. User the left and right arrows on the Monitor to move to the desired adjustment, press Menu to allow adjust then arrow left for less or arrow right for more.
You really just keep moving between the Menu and arrow til you get it right.. I definitely needed to turn down the brightness on my monitor.

My monotor its all black but u can

This should be an (LCD) screen. They are the ones that usually have this kind of problem. You will need to take it to have it checked if the problem is the VGA signal cable leading to the monitor. They will check if it is properly connected or has gone bad. It is very unlikely that the screen is bad. When this VGA signal cable goes bad it could result in a totally blank screen.

Blinking lights when PC is s.down

Not sure what happened as I had a whole message typed and lost it. Here I go again. I hope it doesn't post twice.

We have an Acer AL1715 monitor which started having this problem after a power surge. It was the only piece of equipment affected by the surge. I searched for an answer when it happened but got nowhere. I contacted Acer about this and they told me I would have to bring it to a tech to be looked at. Decided on a whim today to try Googling again and found this website and Q&As.

Though we didn't know what "Brunin" was nor saw an "F" change color, we did get into the Menu on the monitor and used the right and left arrows to see what was there. We decided to use "Reset" by highlighting it and pressing the "Menu" button for "Enter".

This appears to have solved the problem for us. The monitor is no longer toggling colored screens when idle nor when the computer is off.

Thank you for solving our problem. It has been very annoying for the user and anyone sitting across from her monitor during a meeting.

Emachines monitor

Most monitors have a reset back to default display settings. Just choose this option and you should be fine. Just bring up your monitor menu and see if you have a settings menu. If you do, I bet it is there.
