dreamer714- You should be able to order from any tv repair shop, the price how ever will be rather high.I think the last one I ordered was about 400 or so, it depends. The unit itself is fairly easy to change. cooltekFeb.18/08

Mitsubishi VS-585R

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.

For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.

Mitsubishi big screen tv

The VS5043 shuts down for many reasons. The most common are power supply issues. Bad caps, open resistors, shorted regulators, and missing voltages will cause the set to shutdown.
In my notesI have a location of components known to cause your problem( R5A03,L5A00,D5A21,Q5A04,Q5A03,C5A19,L902,IC900.IC700) All the parts listed are available. As I stated above there are many reasons for shutdown such as a bad flyback transformer that may not be available anymore. However, this type of failure needs to be properly diagnosed by a qualified technician. Good luck!

Convergence Problem?

Convergence problems are what you have possibly a pincushion error. Either way if you have to have a repair shop do the repair, you should look at replacing the old TV.
