CPU fan failure causes system to aromatically shut down..

CPU/ Processor resources and due to the heavy processing the PC heats up. Excessive heat up beyond usual is alarming and PC shuts down by itself when the processor/ CPU temperature exceeds the safe temperature limit. There are mainly two reasons for heat up.
Heating issue generally occurs due to fan failure, which may damage the system, if not checked properly. Another most likely cause of overheating is the dust present inside the PC, which clogs the fan and heat sink.
1. Make sure the fan is running. (if not, it needs replacement)
2. Clean the fan and heat sink (thermal module). Take out the fan and heat sink. clean them with the help of tooth brush and put it back.
3. Also, make sure that the PC is placed in a well ventilated environment and the air flow the the PC is correct.
The procedure is very simple and I believe immediate action is required to prevent any damage to your machine and data.

Overheating When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.

Laptop heating issue generally occurs due to fan failure, which may damage the system, if not checked properly. Another most likely cause of overheating is the dust present inside the laptop, which clogs the fan and heatsink.
1. Make sure the fan is running. (if not it needs replacement)
2. Clean the fan and heat sink (thermal module). Click here for GENERAL Acer Laptop disassembly instructions and refer to Removing the System Fan/Thermal Module after removing the outer cover. Take out the fan and heat sink. clean them with the help of tooth brush and put it back. Also, repair manual can be searched online or downloaded for referrence.
The procedure is very simple, but if you are not comfortable with working inside electronics, I suggest that you should get you laptop checked by a professional for servicing (if required). I believe immediate action is required to prevent any damage to your machine and data.

From your problem description it sounds like the CPU was overheated (and failed) before you replaced the CPU fan - so the fan replacement was too late. Since the procesor already failed, installing a new motherboard without a fan did not accomplish anything.

The 4 pin power plug provides +12 volts DC to the processor. When you disconnected it, the processor essentially could not run at all and the system is no longer capable of detecting the CPU failure and shutting down the power supply.

You need to install a known good CPU which is the right type and speed for your computer. Unless you are experienced in replacing,CPU's, fans, heat-sinks and applying thermal grease I recommend that you have a PC technician perform these tasks.

CPU, the motherboard and the rest of the chips in it is subject to wear and tear. This is in addition to the high temperature it is operating with. The sudden shut down is cause by a failure of one component (usually the Processor) who's burned out.

It could be caused by hardware failure:
If the reinstalling or during installation of operating system it is occasionally shut off,it is a very likel as hardware failure.Often this is RAM ,CPU,Power Supply also cause this problem.
Solution:
So open your prcessor fan and check that it is sticked or not. If it is sticked then try to solution with to arranging greeze or some more lubricants.

If the computer detects overheating or fan failure it will shut down automatically. If you replace the fan you should be fine. Remove your old fan and try to get one that connects the same way, some of them connect directly to the heat sink, others to the motherboard.

OC failure = over clocking failure. Make sure the CPU fan is clean, free from dirt & dust. Check CPU fan plug is connected correctly. If the CPU fan still stops after a few seconds replace the CPU fan.
It's harder to find just a fan to fit your heatsink, which sits on your CPU. It is easier to find a new heatsink \ fan combo for your Intel. Use your manual to find what Intel chip is on your board. Use that information & search google for a heatsink & fan combo. Pay close attention to how your current heatsink is mounted to the Gigabyte board.
