My printer wireless indicator is flashing red and I cannot print

If you have loaded pixma print app. You need to go through wireless set up. The app will scan for wireless networks. The select the wireless you are operating and search for printer. When you start it the blue network light will flash until it finds . and start by holding power down 3seconds release it starts searching.

Blinking orange means one of the following: 1. The printer is out of range of the wireless access point (wireless router). 2. The printer is trying to communicate with the wireless access point, but the wireless access point is turned off or not working properly. 3. Either the configured printer or the wireless access point has been turned off and back on, and the printer is trying to establish communications with the network. 4. The wireless settings of the printer may no longer be valid.

The flashing light indicates that the printer is either trying to connect to a wireless network, a "connection failure" or a communication is not available. The flashing red light next to a page and bin indicates paper or a CD/DVD has jammed in the printer.

The flashing red light next to the drop indicates that the ink is low - if it is solid on then the ink is out.

Both of these lights flashing rapidly together means taht the print head carriage is obstructed by jammed paper or some other material and cannot return to the home position. Turn off the printer then open the paper support and the printer cover. Then remove any paper or other obstructions from the paper path by hand / tweezers. Then, turn the printer back on and the fault should clear. If the lights are stioll flashing then check the paper path again and see if the print head carriage assembly is jammed by gently moving it very slightly along the carriage. Don't force this or do this too hard or too far as you can cause some damage to the drive

I was having the same problem and just posted it, went back to my printer, put the old cartriage back in and printed, I am taking the refilled cartriage back to walgreens where I had it filled and buying a new/hp cartriage to install.

If you are printing from MS Word - go into Tools - Letters and Mailings - Labels and Envelopes, Envelopes Tab, Options, and turn off the clockwise rotation check box. Seems to work for me.

how do it lits? flashes or permanent? and kindly indicate if its attention indicator or ready indicator...
cause in every flash and lits of that indicators have meaning...

Red flashing light on '8BK' small black cartridge on left hand side.
If this indicates 'low ink' then it is not alerting me on the monitor. I think this is something different because my printing has been interrupted. Aileen

ON your driver check that the paper size is correct and this most commonly occurs when the incorrect paper size is selected. For example if you are printing to A4 and you have letter size installed in the machine then the system will cause an error or jam when there is nothing there.

Also within word or which ever program you are using on the document goto file and then down to page setup once in there check the paper size make sure it's correct for the paper in your machine also check the paper source. Once you have done this check the paper tray guides are correctly against the paper turn on and try printing and hopefully this will work.
