The Olympus Stylus 7010 has a rechargeable lithium ion battery that will eventually wear out-- your battery could be at the point where it does not hold a charge any longer. Have you previously noticed a degradation in battery life? If so, you can try replacing the battery or connecting the camera to a constant power source (like an AC adapter) to troubleshoot.
Press >menu< button, select >mode< select >card< select >format< select >yes< press >ok< (menu button) During formatting DO NOT open battery cover, card cover, or plug in AC adapter. Make sure you have all your files saved on your computer or elsewhere before formatting your card, since all images will be deleted.# Hope that helps
Your recharged battery may be weak. May be time to replace. If the battery power runs out while the camera is connected to a computer or printer, the image data may be lost or damaged. It is recommended that you use the AC adapter. Do not connect or disconnect the AC adapter while the camera is connected to a computer or printer.Do not remove or load the batteries or connect or disconnect the AC adapter while the camera is turned on. Doing so could affect the camera’s internal settings or functions.
The AC adapter is only used as an alternate power source for the camera. It is not intended to charge the battery for the camera in any way. In order to charge the camera's lithium battery you will need the charger that is designed for that battery.
Make sure the ac adaptor ius the right polarity for the camera, negative outside plug and positive centre, also make sure the voltage output of the charger is correct 5 volts dc.You do not need batteries as well as the charger.
No, Minolta cannot guarantee the compatibility of any third party AC Adapters. We recommend the use of Minolta AC Adapters, AC-1L, and AC-2L. Any damage caused to the camera as a result of use of a third party AC Adapter may void your warranty.
