By default Olympus cameras do not print the date on the images when they are downloaded to a PC. Olympus does not include this functionality because they feel that it detracts from image quality. There is a function of the camera called print order or print reservation that you can set that it will print the date on the images but this is only if you take the card to a photo processing store. However if you use the Olympus Master software and print the images that you have previously transferred there is a check box in the print setting window that you can add the date and or time to the printed image.

Yes, the DiMAGE 7 is PIM-enabled. The camera records necessary information as it stores every image captured, and passes printing option information to a PIM-enabled printer to create optimum results. The PIM-enabled printers process the image automatically for excellent print quality.
The printing information that is included as part of the Exif 2.2 header in the JPEG file, is read and used by a Print Image Matching enabled printer. If you have a compatible printer that has a built in media slot, you can insert the digital camera’s memory card into a card reader and then into a printer’s media slot. If you do not have a printer that accepts a card directly, you can use a plug-in for a graphics program such as Adobe PhotoShop 7.0, to utilize this information. CAMEDIA Master 4.03 and above supports Exif Print and PIM.
PRINT Image Matching is a way to access greater color, set print gamma, and provide automatic image enhancements for prints from digital cameras. P.I.M. embeds information in each image to maximize the quality of the print from that image. The information includes data that will make the print more faithful to the original image, and data to enhance the print according to settings made on the camera.
PictBridge is a specification that allows for direct printing between various brands of digital still cameras and printers without the need of a computer.
