ok not much detail but here is a list of red light problems and solutions if you have one red ring is external hardware fail unplug all cables and check for damage also look at power brick problems should be green or orang not yellow or red if its 2 red lights its blooked vents and dust pileup used canned air or a vacum to get as much dust out as posible its causing over heating 3 red rings is death whitch can be mutible errors most likly the most common one is the x clamp or loss of pressure to the motherboard if this dont help you can open up your system for diagnostic exams ther easy to fix error codes if you need the error code hold the controller sync button on console and press eject 4 =0 1=1 lights and so on if you need a repair call microsoft at 1-800-4my-xbox dont void your warrenty because you might not be succesful at self fixing but they gurante they fix it but they dont help you if your system is opened up

Hi, you may just need to reset the power lead, to do this unplug it from the wii, then unplug it from the wall, now leave it all unplugged for 5 min this will allow the power lead to reset then plug it all back in and give it a try.

if after doing the above it still dont work then the chances are the wii has over heated so check if you have any warranty left as this fault is covered, if you dont then you need to find someone who can reflow the solder for you on the 2 main chips under the heat sink, this is not easy to do and could cause more harm then good so be warned.

E73: General Hardware Error: Ethernet port... this error is caused by a problem with the Ethernet port. Try this troubleshooting. Remove the A/V cord from the back of the XBox 360. Stick two sticks into the fans to prevent them from spinning. This will cause the system to overheat within five minutes. You will know its done when the first and third quadrants light up red on the system (indicating the system has overheated). Unplug the system, plug it back in and turn it on to see if it was successful. (Note: While this method does not void your warranty, if your XBox is still under warranty I suggest sending to Microsoft to fix.

Next insert toothpicks in the back of the console(while unit is running) into the cooling fans, this is to suppose to overheat the console and start two red lights flashing. Turn off console when this happens(unplug all cords from console) and turn the system back on.

Sometimes the easiest way is the fastest way. The signal reset button (the little one to the left of the power button) is also the unofficial reset button for the Xbox 360. With the Xbox turn off, press this button and keep pressing it while you press the power button. Do not release the reset button until you see the system booting up normally. Of course, if there is a permanent or a more serious damage to the system, it won’t work or the error will be recurrent until it is solved. Resetting just clears the error from memory.

one red light is also the E71 error as well.
