"Card Full" on Vivitar 3785. Card is Kodak 2Gb. Yes, it is an SD card. The camera can successfully take 11 photos with no card inserted.

  • stevek831 Dec 04, 2008

I have formatted both FAT and FAT32, "card full" with both.

I don't have the complete answer but I have 512MB in mine and it works fine...
So I am guessing that the camera can't address that much memory (2GB)!
You can try 512MB as I know for sure that works, and possibly 1GB may work, but I have not tried it yet.
Good Luck!

Make sure that the memory card you bought is a secure digital (SD) memory card. the kodak memory you have might not be an SD card.

Memory card says full when i put new sd 2gb card in card won't work on my kodak easyshare cw330 camera

I was checking to see if your camera had a limit to the size of SD memory card and couldn't find a thing so what I suspect is that the SD card lock has been engaged here is a diagram to show you how to unlock it.

Also any new memory card needs to be formatted in the camera before the camera can "read" it.
After pictures have been loaded to the memory card and then downloaded to the computer the memory card needs to be formatted to clean the old pictures off and make the memory card ready to accept new pictures.

Brand new camera, unable to take any pictures. Internal memory is full. Even when we put a mmory card in place, still thinks internal memory is full. Why doesn't the camera use the memory stick to save...

If you used the internal memory even once, the memory card will not work until you get rid of whatever is in the internal memory. Do this...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, your card should work properly.

Purchased new 2gb memory card however camera states memory card is full

Did you navigate through your camera's menu and find the card format selection? You need to format your memory cards when new, and it is also best practice to format the card after each time you use it and remove the pictures you want to keep.

I have taken 8 pictures with my camera and we had put in an 8gb memory card, but my camera says internal memory is full. this is a brand new camera, and I am learning about it, but why is the memory...

Apparently, you used the internal memory before putting in the memory card. Now the camera only wants to use the internal memory. Here's the fix...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert the memory card. If this is a new card, you will need to format it in the camera, too. If there are any pics on it, download them first using a card reader if necessary, because the card will be completely erased.

Camera keeps saying internal memory is full, even after putting a

Your internal memory is separate from your memory card. Think of it as two folders, the internal memory cannot be removed, and the memory card is one you can take with you. You can put new memory cards in it all day, the internal memory will still have pictures in it. You may wish to consider copying all internal memory to the memory card. To do this, make sure your camera has a memory card in it. View pictures on your internal memory, then from the menu option select 'copy all images to external memory.' In doing this, all of your photos will be moved, you can then clean out your internal memory by deleting everything/formatting it. :)

I bought a 2GB SD card for my Kodak EasyShare C330 Camera

Buy a 1GB card (or 2). The spec for the SD card format is going to 2GB but the Kodak C330 not compatible with 2 GB SD memory cards.

Kodak memory card error

Hey hardygurl198,
What is most likely going on is you need to format the card so it will work in your camera. Every time you get a new memory card for a digital camera or if you put a memory card formatted to a different camera in a new digital camera you will need to format the memory card before you can use it. Directions on how to format your memory card are on page 27 of your camera manual, and I have provided a link to a PDF download of your manual in case you need it. I hope this helps!

MEMORY CARD

I had the same problem today with a 2 GB card. I think it may be the size of the card. When I put in an old 32 MB card it worked fine.
