Clearly, it is faulty and has some type of parasitic drain. All watch batteries should last a couple of years. My Seiko last for about 3 to 4 years. Return it to Pulsar or a repair agent for repair.
Any jeweler will be able to install a new battery. You may be able to buy a battery on the world-wide-web and save some money that way. But you first must know what type of battery to purchase. For your first time, going to the jewelry store is the best way.

As you are probably aware, the battery should hold its charge for a considerable time, so the seem to be two alternatives:- 1) the battery needs replacing 2) it has developed a fault.
If the watch is still within the warranty period, then take it back, if not then you could take it to a watch shop and aske them to check the battery. If it is OK then it looks as though it must go back to a repairer.
For this, go to the Casio wed site (casio.com), select "support" and find your nearest service location.
Offhand, I would say yes to the battery replacement. Though watches are not within my immediate field. This would be based on your post "2-5 minutes behind". As to the "lost signal" after a reset, may I request that you post back the specific model number pls.

After 5 years all of the case parts must be replaced i.e.,gaskets and crown then the watch must be pressure tested.
