) What feature of Powerpoint 2010 helps in broadcasting slides to remote audience

Dear Anand,

To broadcast your presentation, do the following:
  1. On the Slide Show tab, in the Start Slide Show group, click Broadcast Slide Show.

The Broadcast Slide Show dialog box opens.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • If you want to host your slide show on the service listed under Broadcast Service, skip to the next step.
    • If you want to use some other service to host your slide show, click Change Broadcast Service. Under Choose a broadcast service, select the service that you want to use. For more information about broadcast services, see Choosing a broadcast service.

Note If you do not see the service that you want to use, select Add a new service, and then in the Add Broadcast Service dialog box, enter the network address of the service you want to use and then click Add.

  1. After you select your broadcast service, click Start Broadcast. PowerPoint then creates a URL for your presentation.

PowerPoint creates a unique URL for your slide show.

  1. To send the URL for your presentation to your audience, do one of the following:
    • To send the URL for your presentation by email, click Send in Email.
    • To copy the link, click Copy Link.
  2. When your audience receives the URL for the slide show, click Start Slide Show to begin your broadcast.

The audience follows your slide show in their browser while you present within PowerPoint 2010.

  1. After you finish presenting and are ready to end the broadcast, press ESC to exit Slide Show view and then click End Broadcast.

After you begin broadcasting a slide show, the Broadcast tab appears in the PowerPoint 2010 ribbon.

My touchpad working too bad

If a Dell cursor is jumpy when you type then the touchcheck/palmcheck needs to be enabled in the touchpad driver advanced settings. if advanced functions like scroll do not work then try installing the touchpad driver (Basic functions are controlled by windows)
If the touchpad has a bad button, or it just non-responsive in a portion of the pad, then the palmrest assembly will need to be replaced.

The Fan does not run on my Ektalite 1500

Either the power motor has failed or the fan belt has broke. With the lamp removed (important!!), turn the projector on and see if the slide change mechanism functions. If it functions (moves your slide tray back & forth), then chances are that it is the fan belt. If it does not move the tray, then I would suspect the lamp thermal fuse has opened. Either problem will require a repair by a factory-trained repair dealer.

Lost remote

Nearly all VCRs of the last 10 years or so need the remote box to get into advanced functions. The buttons on the VCR itself only do basics: stop/eject play, Ffwd, REW etc. Some of the better universal remotes will do advanced functions, or, you can Google for exact remote box suppliers.
