Is it a long beep or a short beep? Beep codes are used by the BIOS during the POST to report certain initial system errors.

If you're hearing beep codes after you turn your computer on, it typically means that the system has encountered some kind of problem before it was able to display any kind of error information on the monitor.

Follow the steps below to determine what system problem the beep code is representing.

I think a few OEM's have developed their own or use Phoenix or AMI beep codes, but for the most part motherboard manufacturers uses the IBM based ones because they are grandfathered in. The meaning of beeps at boot depends on the BIOS that is installed. This will give you an idea, but my guess is you have a RAM problem. Try checking that it's properly seated, otherwise you could run a program like Memtest to confirm the problem. Pls rate me. Thanks and Good Luck.

I went to google and it seems like the beeps can be problems for different problems in the hardware, this is what one message says,  there are lots of computer beeping answers out there: 1 short beep is your BIOS saying "HELLO I'M OK"

Your computer has memory problems. First check the video. If video is working, you'll see an error message. If not, you have a parity error in your first 64K of memory. First check your SIMM's. Reseat them and reboot. If this doesn't do it, the memory chips may be bad or they are mismatched .The CAS latency has to be the same and compatible with your M/B. You can try switching the first and second banks memory chips. First banks are the memory banks that your CPU finds its first 64K of base memory in. You'll need to consult your manual to see which bank is first. If all your memory tests good, you probably need to buy another motherboard.
