Question about Refrigerators
Where is the defrost timer located
Need to know the make and model...
GE are in the top right back
Frigidaire are under the toe plate left and right also in the back by the compressor. cheaper frigdaire are in the middle center top refer... so you see they hide them in a lot of places..

SOURCE: Defrost timer
The above URL will take you to an exploded view of the controls. Look at number 23 which will be located behind toe plate below door on the left side. That is the defrost timer. Rotate the clutch head screw Clockwise SLOWLY until you hear a loud click. That is the defrost timer starting the defrost. If the unit restarts after 18-22 minutes and defrost does not take place you problem is most likely the defrost thermostat.

SOURCE: trying to locate defrost timer
on your frigidaire model, look on the front left on the bottom. for some info on your frig, see:
page 10 item 23. hope this helps.
On the maytag defrost timer: it's probably beside the cold control in the plastic housing on the ceiling of the FF section.
