The disk tray won't open.
There is no disk stuck in there.
When I press the eject button, the words "load disk" light up and I can hear the tray trying to eject, but it never does.
Then it will say "no disk" after a few seconds and not do anything else.
THe DVD eject tray is stuck on my system as well. I tried putting in a VHS and then hitting open and that didn't work. And I can't seem to find a system reset button. Any help is very welcome! thanks!
I took a stake knife from the kitchen and pried open the tray door as I hit the eject button this got it to open, I then cycled eject and close, eject close a few times and this did the trick, I even played a DVD and that worked fine also. I had the problem with the tray not opening, and the display would read OPEN when I hit eject and I could hear it trying to open. So I wanted to make sure the tray wasn't just stuck or wedged before I took the system apart and looked for sripped out plastic gears or the belt being broken. GoodLuck [email protected]

unplugged the dvd player and then re plugged, power on then press the eject button. if still the loading tray won't open, at this time you will need to remove the cover of the player to access the loading tray mechanical assembly. then check for an stuck up or broken rail plastic loading assembly it was installed drive by the loading motor.if ok, check the limit switch might not get contact which the processor not turn on the supply for the motor.
Look on the front of the tray where the eject button is There should be a
small round hole, this is for ejecting a stuck disk. Just open out a
paper clip and insert in to the hole and press until the tray opens.
The disc tray does not eject when the OPEN/CLOSE button is pressed.
Solution
Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue. IMPORTANT: The
disc tray will not open while a disc is loading; this is normal
operation. If this is the case, wait until the disc is finished loading
before pressing the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray.
Make sure the disc tray is not locked; if necessary,
Perform a power reset.
Press and hold the POWER button for 10 seconds until the BD player turns off.
After the BD player turns off, press the POWER button again to turn it back on.
Attempt to open the disc tray by pressing the OPEN/CLOSE button on the front of the BD player.
If the disc tray still does not open and a disc is stuck inside, follow the steps below to force the disc tray to eject:
Turn off the BD player.
Turn the BD player back on.
Immediately after POWER ON is displayed, press the STOP button on the front of the player. IMPORTANT: Only use the STOP button on the front of the BD player. The remote control cannot be used for this operation. NOTES:
The disc tray should eject and the BD player will turn off. If it does not eject, repeat steps A-C.
It may be necessary to press the STOP button in step C two or three times.
If the issue is still unresolved, service may be required
Unplug power cord. Wait two minutes and plug it back. Keep repeatedly pressing the eject button while you start the unit, before it starts reading cd inside. Do this a couple of times. If you cannot eject the disk in this way you will need to take unit apart. Unit won't start until the disk is inside, as it tries to read the disk , disk is faulty and unit get stuck.
Your problem is more than likely mechanical. There is a belt that makes connection between the motor and the loading mechanism. Take the unit apart. Remove the belt it is probably in the front. Clean the belt and pullies with denatured alcohol. reassemble. The best solution is to replace the belt but this may get you working till you get one. Belt sources http://www.mcmelectronics.com/
