Movies freezing on tv

I have had this problem.

Check to see if latest version of Microsoft Silverlight is installed.
If not uninstall the old version and install the latest version.
find it on Microsoft site.

If you have played a movie or are watching a series, stop the series when it ends, then go back and find the next one you want to watch.

I did this and no more freezing.

Try that

I have my wii hooked up to netflix and several times during any movie i watch it stops and retrieves. When it is through retrieving it starts back up playing

This is a common problem, what is happening is that it cannot get the data fast enough over your connection. You need to, if you can, open up your "Buffer Size" or simply download the movie first and NOT stream it, most times most peoples connections will give trouble streaming Movies. They say you can watch it, Online, as it were, well in my experience that's only true for about 50 - 60% of the time, many many reasons can contribute to problems transmitting and receiving the data. Another way is to stream the data in, but do not watch anything until, your PC has saved about say 20% then you should have enough of a Buffer so that you will be able to receive the data and still be able to watch it at the same time. Also ensure you have lots of HDD space and lots of RAM too, these all help. Also clean out your TEMP and TMP dir's regularly too.
