Try to diagnose your internet connection maybe your broadband bandwidth is low. As you have said you typed the correct id and password but your unable to log in..Sometimes low bandwidth affect the transmittal of data to the server of the site you are trying to log in..If you diagnose it and still you can't log in, See if your caps lock is on if it is on turn it off password and yahoo ID is case sensitive..If still you can log in try this too go to the device manager and disable your network debice then enable it again. so that your IP address will be restarted..Hope it helps you

1 Please try the password in both Upper & Lower case carefully.
2 Even after that if the problem is there, then the password had been chanced by you. If you looged on and went somebody can change it.
3 Try forgot password option and get help from yahoo.
4 Failing that you will have to have a new user ID.

I am unable to log in to my mail id though ID and password are correct
Login credentials are case sensitive. Make sure that your keyboard is not in caps. Make sure also that you are the only person that knows the user name and password.

Go to Yahoo login page, then click on "I can't access my account". Answer the questions, provide an alternate e-mail address, and the password will be e-mailed to you. Then you will know if the password changes or not.

So many log in tries of an Yahoo ID with wrong password causes lock.. This is a security lock for your Yahoo! ID. If you know the correct password you can unlock it by opening http://www.yahoo.com/r/m6 or http://mail.yahoo.com, for the first time type your ID correctly and type any password(if password is wrong no problem), click Sign In . in reply the same page will appear again... this time type your ID and password correctly, type the captcha verification code correctly as shown in image box and click Sign In. if your password is right your ID will be unlocked.
