I have a Sharp digital viewcam vl-nz100 im getting no power to my camera with the charger plugged into the camera with the battery in or without it in and with the charger still plugged in at all times its not coming on, is it the charger? or battery or both? camera is barely used but has been put away for several years.

As long as you can obtain a charger that is rated the same as the one for your camera it will not be a problem unless the original charger is a microprocessor controlled charger that has the ability to control and change the charging current as the battery charges.
A camera shop can check this out for you.
If it just a simple AC or DC charger, then you can simply use the connector from your original charger and join it either by soldering or with a screw terminal block(which you wrap in Insulating tape once fitted).
The main thing you need to be CERTAIN of is as to whether the original charger is an AC or a DC type.
This will be clearly indicated on the label on the charger.

Yes. You can transfer the data from the card of your camcorder to the PC using the supplied USB cable to connect the camcorder to the PC.
