Looking for a Manual for 13" Proview Flat Screen Monitor

Hi Folks,

Looking for a manual to download from Proview website for the 13" flat screen Model #468P. Usually one can download manuals for older models of products on the product manufacturer website, but seems not available on the Proview website.

Anyone know where I can find a manual? Recycled original documents which came with the monitor in one of my merciless downsizing and purging episodes, now wish I had saved the info on the little monitor.

Thanks for any info you may or may not have.

I agree, the website is not very helpful. Also a web search comes up with nothing. Why not send an email to Proview? You may strike lucky!

ProView 19" Flat Screen Monitor comes on with
Hello,

The dark or black picture is caused by a failure in the back light power supply. The problem can be corrected by replacing a few parts called capacitors on the board. Replacing them will require a little soldering but anyone can do it. Here is a link to a page that shows what needs to be replaced.

Which pc board are you looking for? Most LCD monitor companies use third party PCB assemblies. Can you get the name and number as printed on the PCB?

I suspect your Computers Display settings need adjustments and or a Driver from Proview installed...therefor if you can get on the net, I would look at FAQ's on Proviews Website, i.e:

Screen display turns to black after 30 minutes of operation
I had the same problem with my Proview monitor. I was told by a lot of people it was trashed. I typed in this website ati.amd.com and discovered my ati driver was either missing or some components were missing.
I downloaded the driver and now my monitor is staying on. I don't know if this will solve your problem like it has mine, but it's worth reading up on it.
