Our unit is making loud clicking noise and spraying water when in the cooling air condition mode, but not when the fan is on. What could be the problem, and is it fixable?

You may hear water splashing that is because it is coming off of the condenser the part that is outside the water runs off the condenser and is forced out by the fan for as the noise could be something in or on the inside fan blade or outside fan blade as long as the water is not coming inside your house and you have enough slope on the unit you should be ok

I have dell 3300mp,when I turn the power on it makes a very loud noise. It does not make the sound in standby or cool down. It does work and display a signal okay, but it is very loud. Sound like a fan?,...

The main fan that cools the lamp is mostly high speed when the unit is running. when it shuts down it slows the fan down, until it stops in standby. So the noise is only really loud when it is showing a picture.

try setting the fan to eco mode (slower running) and see if the noise is acceptable. If it is still too loud then you will have to replace it. Have a look at the fan and see if any of the plastic blades are missing.

Air conditioner fan is making a loud noise

1. Could be a caught foreign object between A/C (air conditioning) fan and cooling radiator, producing this loud noise.
2. Could be a damaged fan blade, mowing the cooling radiator.
3. Could be a loud noise comming from the fan's electrical motor.
4. Could be a broken off fin (small wing) of the cooling radiator, striking the A/C fan, producing this loud noise.

Just had a new 3.5 Ton Goodman GSZ13-13 SEER, heatpump installed. Its working OK in Cooling, however whe switched over to heating mode the indor unit makes a loud grumbling sound. The installer stated that...

I install them every day and I have not had one make a loud grumbling sound. Sounds like you might have a low voltage (Thermostat) wiring problem. The only thing different inside the indoors unit from heat and cool is the fan speed, electric heat when on. The fan might be loose or out of balance and it only shows up at low speeds. Either way, the noise is not normal.

Lots of water in unit spitting all over the floor and loud rattle

If it is rattling when in either fan or cool, you are having either a fan motor problem or the blade is hitting something. The water may be from a clogged drain port (by coil) which u are not seeing, if a new one is under 250, that is your best bet!

My window unit is spraying water and making a loud clicking noise

You could have a stoppped up drain passage from the evap coil to the outside of the unit. OR it could be leaning too far inward not allowing the condesate to drain out. Check to make sure the unit is level, and if it is, then pull it out and clean it out. you can use a water hose, but be careful not to get the electronics wet. The passage is usually plastic or styrafoam an at the backside of the evap(inside)coil.

Outside makes loud noise

I would take a very close look at every solder joint there is between the inside unit and the outside. If you observe oil at any point it indicates a leak at that point. That is an expensive price for what you say was done. Check your invoice for the amount of refrigerant they or he added to the system. Compare it with the amount stated on the outside unit nameplate. Check for frost on the suction (big line) by the outside unit. If there is frost your coil is frozen up. If this is the case turn the fan on and the cooling off. Allow it to run in this manor for about an hour to defrost the A coil. Then return to the cooling mode.
