I never heard the beeping sound, but mine wont turn on or charge, or if it starts charging it will just freeze and stop charging.

I was listening to my MP3 player when I pushed pause. It started playing a high pitched whine and I couldn't get it to shut off. I had to let the battery die, but when I tried to recharge it, it would charge for a little bit, then freeze.

My Insignia Sport did the same. I believe it bricked and is now useless. I had to exchange mine. It took 2 minutes of holding down the power and it still didn't turn off. All 128 of my songs were lost

Freezing

I had the excact same thing just turn it on and let the battery run all the way down, then all you have to do is charge it. If this does not work make sure you are running the battery all the way down. Trust me this works.
Good Luck
