How to install kenwood kac-9102d in 2006 acura rsx

I want to install my Kenwood KAC-9102D in my 2006 Acura RSX Type S with the Bose factory system radio. It has a small sub base and want to use my Kicker L5. We ran power from the battery and the continues power from under the wiring harness under the passenger's seat. Re ran the wires from the existing sub and used an RCA jack to the input on the amp. If we use the RCA output back to the Kicker sub is has very little power. It we use the output + & - we do not have any output from the spearker.

My recommendation is to get a line level converter. Go to a car audio shop or even best buy and specifically ask for a line level converter. It will have speaker wires in and RCAs out. Connect the speaker wires to the sub woofer speaker wires and then you will have the RCAs to run to your amp. I hope this helped.

My amp is a kenwood kac-9152d it goes in to protection mode soon as you hook up the power

In protection mode do you mean the light comes on and it plays music and stuff? If that's the case, that's what the amp is supposed to do. Protect itself from a power surge

Wiring options

Yor best bet is to wire each one positive to neg to get 8ohms then pos-pos and neg-neg to get 2.66 ohms. Otherwise series parallel. If you wire them all pos-pos and neg-neg you will be running .66ohms and will most certainly fry your amp or it will overheat and shut down all the time

HAVE A KENWOOD AMP MODEL KAC-9102D . iT KEEPS SHUTTING OFF WHEN i TURN THE RADIO LOUD. ANY SUGGESTIONS

either bad ohm load or over heat if the ohs on the speaker wires to the amp are lower than specified use in the manual it will act funny cause it is pusing harder than its meant to and if it gets too hot either bad location or bad amp you can try turning the gain down a little until the amp stays on constantly at high volume

To bridge a Kenwood KAC-9102D

Hello laurogleal,

The Kenwood KAC-9102D is a mono amp. There is no bridging. Having two sets of terminals is just a more convenient way of connecting two subwoofers. The amp is stable down to 2 ohms impedance, so it is safe to run 2 4 ohm loads in parallel.

Hope this helps.

Install my Kenwood KAC-9102D in my 2006 Acura RSX Type S

You will probably need to use a Line Output Converter (LOC). They're available at virtually any shop that sells car audio.

Many times, the outputs of the OEM amplifier will have significant DC voltage on them. This could damage the input circuits on the kenwood amplifier.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
