I presume its a refrigerated air conditioner ?? Not an evaporative type. All refrigerated airconds have an internal drain which collects the moisture buildup off the evaporator coil. This drain will have a hose which runs through the wall to the outside. Have a look outside where all the aircon pipes come out. This hose could be blocked by dirt or a mouse may have chewed a hole in it. Try blowing air up the hose to clear it.

I have the same model with the same problem. I don't know if it's refrigerated or evaporative but it's a window unit with no hose going thru the wall. It was fine for about three months now this. I've taken mine out to clean any gunk out and see if that helps. I don't know where the drain holes are but it seems like it's draining at the side panel track.

Thanks for clarifying what type of machine it is. These type of aircons dont have a hose. The moisture buildup in the unit, collects in a drain and is supposed to gravity feed to the outside of the unit. The unit should be installed with a slight slope to the back to allow this to happen. If water is dribbling out the front, I would suggest that the unit is sloping forwards rather than to the back. See if you can lift the front up a centimetre or 2 or drop the rear end of it so that the unit slopes to the back. Cheers.

Frigidaire FAC107S1A leaking water thru the inside of the house

Hello, first make sure the unit is tilted back in the window about a 1/4 inch. Also, check the drain on unit, sometimes they can clog and prevent condensate from draining.

I have a small bedroom unit air conditioner and it leaks from the bottom insidee the house. Can this be corrected?

Try to tilt the unit so the water will run outside instead of inside.

Hope this helps you.

We have a window unit model ash08fas1 and it is leaking water into the window to our carpet. Does this model come with a drip pan or plug that needs to be moved? And how do we access it?

Look at your unit from outside the house. The back of the air conditioner should be slightly lower than the front. If it is level or the front of the air conditioner is lower it will drip into the house. Some window units have a drain for the water outside and some don't. Look for a hole in the bottom of the unit outside and if you find one make sure it is not plugged. Also dirty coils can cause a frost buildup on the inside of the unit. This will drip also. If this is the case you should see the ice buildup by removing the front cover or removing the front filter.

A.C. unit is draining on the inside of the house.

There is a drainage and it is stucked with dust, mold etc. Just open metal lid on the wall inside your house, where the coil is installed and where you're changing filters, remove air filter, there at bottom you will see the drainage hole (now under water probably). Rent an air compressor from Home Depot or Lowe's, stick the hose to that hole and turn compressor on. This shall blow the drainage through. After that slowly pour 1-2 cups of Chlorox or Tylex in there, let it stand for 15 minutes, then pour some more water and blow with compressed air again, then flush it with water and blow last time.
Do that at least once in two years, or you gonna have same problem again.

Why does my airconditioner leak

If this is a window ac then you need the back of the ac lower than the front, so the water can drain to the back.

LEAKING ON THE INSIDE OF THE HOUSE

There is an outlet to allow condensed water to flow outside the house from the AC unit runs. Please check whether there is any dust block in the tube and once you clean it water will flow out and not into the house. Sometime the garden lizard or flycatcher could get into the drain pipe and got stuck and block the outflow of condensed water.

Please ensure that the window air conditioner is installed in such a manner the out side portion of the unit is slanted or tilted to the back so that the water will run out and not into the room. By providing some pad to the front portion of the unit the above could be achieved and condensed water will not flow into the room.
