I need a manual for the diamondback 1200T

Bicycle manufacturers generally only print one "owners manual" version that covers all of their bikes. They are very generic in nature. If you are looking for a resource on how to fix your bike, your local library will have millions bicycle repair manuals, Amazon, Half.com and YouTube are great resources.

User manual

Diamondback users the same owner's manual for almost all of their bikes (BMX, Kids, Mtn, and Road bikes). Sorrento's are one of their low price-point models and very common, they sell a lot of them (it's kind of like their Model T), so any Diamonback dealer will have one of these, but basically any owners manual will five the same basic operational stuff that the Diamondback manual has in it.

Seat keeps coming down

While you're at it, get a handle on how quick releases for the wheels work or more than your seat will be going down when you ride.

I can't locate the chain link which must be used to separate it for removal. It's been some time since I removed a bike chain, and from what I remember, chains used to have "master...

Yeah, they generally don't have those Master Links anymore.

For most modern bikes you have to use a CHAIN BREAKER TOOL. See the following link for a picture and general price:

Here is a link to an online How To Guide on how to use a CHAIN BREAKER TOOL to break a chain and replace it:

http://www.bicyclinglife.com/howto/changeachain.htm

And here is a link to a short video on the process as well:

It is not an overly difficult repair so you should not have much problem with it even if it is your first time using the tool.

Please comment back here to this page if you have any details to add, have any questions, have difficulty accessing the links, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

I hope that was helpful to you, good luck.
