Why does water stay in basket and overflow?

What kind of paper filters are you using?I found that when I used store brand paper filters in my 12 cup Mr. Coffee I had a similar problem. They are thicker or something (less porous perhaps?) and the water doesn't pass through it fast enough.
When I went back to the more expensive Mr. Coffee filters the problem went away.

Good Luck

How often do I need to clean my aquarium filter?

Most filters should be cleaned every 4-8 weeks. This obviously depends on what kind of filtration method you use, the size of your tank and how many fish are inside.

Unless I use two filters, the coffee is weak. Are the Bunn filters thicker than others?

I have seen so many complaining about this. It is kind of taste. Some people like, some not. I have to buy some other brands filters to get a little bit stronger coffee. Try other brands of filters.

Hi I have replacement filters model ref:TFPPCART. Its called Protection plus replaacement filters REP027, One is ceramic the other is characoal. What I need to know is which one should be on the water...

I would put the carbon filter in line first. Carbon filters are normally used for taste and odor and chlorine. As the carbon filters are usually much cheaper than ceramic I would replace them on a regular bases. Where we live we are on a rural water system that barely meets E.P.A. standards on several points. We have a four filter R.O. system with a carbon filter on the incoming and outgoing side. I replace the one on the incoming every six months. I hope this helps you. Thanks

Jhe4576. I own a Genie SV125Q, 5 gallon wet/dry

Where did you buy this unit from? Go back there and ask if they have filters for yours. Otherwise look in the Yellow Pages for vacume cleaner repair shops. Sometimes they have all kinds of filters for all kinds of vacumes. You can try places like Wal Mart. What you want to look for are filters that will work with your unit. The foam filter you refer to is called a pre-filter. It traps the bigger particles so they won't damage your paper filter or clog it up especially if it's wet stuff you're picking up. You can remove that foam filter and gently wash it out in the sink with a mild dishwashing liquid and warm water. And even sometimes if you have time you can wash a paper filter out by hosing it out from the inside, with just a gently rinsing on the outside. Don't use any solvents on it just soap and water. And don't use high pressure either, as it will destroy the paper. I have cleaned my paper filters several times before I finally had to replace them. You can also look at places like Lowe's. They carry shop vacs and a whole assortment of attachments as well.
