My P1000 Samsung camera plays back recorded video OK, but will not play on the PC - either directly from the camera or from a downloaded file. The video freezes, but if I move to the end of the recording, the video starts. If I go back to the beginning the video works.....although there's no sound. Yet the sound and video works on the camera playback. I am using Windows 7 and have re-installed the codec, but without any joy. :( Is there something simple I'm missing, please? Many thanks

SOURCE: Samsung L200, cannot play videos on my mac

You need to download a driver for mac in order for it to play the videos. the driver is called xvid. You need to download the one for quicktime. I downloaded it from http://n.ethz.ch/student/naegelic/download/ and downloaded the binary component. I'm sure there are lots of other places that you can download it too if you search. The download gives you a component that you drag into your quicktime folder which is located in the library folder. I just dragged it in and now the videos play in quicktime.

SOURCE: what codec do I download for kodak zoom digital camera C813

Hi,
You might have received a CD along with your Kodak Purchase.. There should be a movie player that Kodak provides along with its camera, try installing that software and that should resolve the issue.
Please let me know if that helps :)

Srinivas

SOURCE: can't hear audio on video playback (neither direct from camera nor from pc)

This is because the camera is not capable to record the sound. The camera was not designed with any audio speakers to be able to record and playback sound recorded during movie mode.

Ok. i have these wmv files in my samsung Q1, but everytime i play it, it doesn't play and displays: "not supported format". but aren't samsung Q1 players supposed to play wmv files?

Hi i have researched your product and it should support wmv files so i dont understand why they wont play. I would either take the product back to where you got it, tell them its faulty, get a replacement and try again. Or just convert the wmv files you have to SVI (Mpeg 4) and they should work.
Hope this helps

I have a Samsung BD-P1000 Blu-Ray Disc Player that will not play Blu-Ray discs rented from BlockBusters in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. To Date, of all my 100 regular DVD, and approximately 25 owned Blu-Ray...

BD-P1000 Update Solution
The solution that worked for me: I went to www.samsung.com/ca and downloaded the Samsung BD-P1000 player's firmware update to my desktop. When opened, I was directed to"burn" a DVD on my computer. I then inserted the new DVD in my Blu-Ray player. The player automatically checked and confirmed player model number and registration and uploaded information from the DVD and the update was complete. The BD-P1000 then flawlessly played the rented Blu-Ray disc of "The Scorpion King".
Thank You Samsung!

Samsung s730 Digital Camera - Video Stuttering Problem

I have the same problem with 640x320 video @ 30fps. The first one was very clean, but after that the video freezes every two seconds, but the audio don't. I "fixed" this issue changing the video format from NTSC to PAL. Now the videos are smooth again, and if you want NTSC playback, just use a video converter on your PC.
