I bought a Canon A75 a couple weeks ago and yesterday I was taking some pics from time to time, shutting it off in between, and when I went to turn it on again to take some more pics, it would not turn on. I also noticed that the lens was not fully retracted and the lens cover was open. I've tried everything I can think of...new batteries, remving the flash card, etc. and it still won't turn on. When I press the on/off button in 'record' mode, the lens moves in or out slightly but that's it. Any ideas or suggestions before I send it to Canon for warranty repair? Thanks.
Try the simple stuff first. Install fresh batteries. Remove the memory card. If that doesn't fix the problem, it is time for warranty.
