SOURCE: Sprint told me to remove the SIM card from a Sanyo

The Sanyo PRO-700 is like all Sprint phones and uses the CMDA network so no Sim card is used. You can take the phone to the Sprint store and have the clerk's use the transfer machine and that should delete the duplicate entries.

Phone got wet, need to get sim card out?! Or clean it. Thank you, Mark Coffey

Hello!

Make sure the phone is completely dry before you turn it back on . Take out the battery and the SIM card and completely dry them off - Especially on the electronic contacts.

Heres a trick: If you have a food dehydrator leave the phone in it for a couple of hours. This will remove the moisture from the phone and the water won't short circuit the phone.

If you have trouble locating your SIM card, it is under your battery and should slide right out with no trouble. If you do have trouble, please comment on the question and we can try something else!

Cheers!

Feedback is appreciated!

First, you need to remove the battery and any flash cards, then you need to dry the phone (NOT WITH A HAIRDRIER!). To dry the phone, you should bury it in a bowl full of those moisture-absorbant "do not eat" packs that come with shoes or other purchases. However, these are often not available. Instead, use plain white rice (dry) to bury your phone in a bowl. Leave it for 1-2 weeks (the longer the better, up to a month) and one last thing, if it was removed from soapy water, as odd as it sounds, it should be fully rinsed in clean cold tap water. If it still won't work after all that, you could try a data-retrival place (if you can pay for it!). Hope this helps, WolfIan.

Sanyo MM-8300: ALL the keypads are frozen and won't work. Any solutions?

One thing you could test for is a thermal-fault in the phone's circuitry. To do this, you put your phone in the fridge over-night then, turn it on the next day and try the keypads while it's still cold from the fridge. If that doesn't help and you're brave enough to venture into the inner-workings of your phone to attempt repair/cleaning, you can read my post here- keys won't work on sanyo mm 8300 phone.
Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.

Keys will not work

Sounds like you locked the keypad.

I know you stated all the keys don't work, but let's give this a try.

Press the "unlock" key (the key in the upper left)

Enter your lock code (usually 0000)

Let me know if this helps.

I'd suggest a new battery, if money is no problem but otherwise, if you have a volt-meter of some kind, you could read the voltage output of the charger and compare that to what it says it should be in the input-output list usually printed on the underside. If it's fine, I'd try carefully cleaning the phone's battery and charger contacts with a small amount of rubbing alchohol and some cotton swabs or tooth-picks lightly wrapped in toilet or tissue paper. If it still refuses to work, you could see if a sales-clerk at your local phone store would let you try a new battery to see if it would work. Otherwise, you could attempt internal repair/cleaning like I outlined here- keys won't work on sanyo mm 8300 phone.
Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.
