Question about Olympus Camedia D-425 / C-170 Digital Camera
You sure can. Go to your shooting mode menu. Scroll down to BACKUP Click on OK Select YES Click on OK All image data stored in the internal memory is copied to the card. Press MENU to exit the menu. Make sure there is enough room on your card to hold all the pictures in memory. When you've copied to the card the original pictures are still held in the internal memory so you will have to clear it. When the card has insufficient memory, [CARD FULL] is displayed and copying is canceled. When the battery icon is blinking, pictures cannot be backed up because of insufficient battery power. If the battery power runs out during copying, the image data may be lost or damaged. I recommended you use the AC adapter if you have one. If not, make sure your batteries are charged. Never open the battery compartment/card cover, remove the batteries, or connect or disconnect the AC adapter during copying as this may cause malfunction to the internal memory or the card.

The selection "back-up" is not available under "Shooting" on my Nikon s51 - any other suggestions would be appreciated.

SOURCE: Internal memory or to the optional xD-Picture Card?
The internal memory and xD-Picture Card cannot be used at the same time. When the card is inserted the internal memory is disabled. When you want to use the internal memory you must remove the xD-Picture card. The LCD display indicates the images are being saved to the internal memory by displaying [IN] in the lower right corner of the screen. When using the xD-Picture Card the LCD will display [xD] in the lower right corner. These indicators are displayed just above the number of available frames.

SOURCE: Move images to the internal memory to the optional xD-Picture Card?
The images saved to the internal memory can be copied to the memory card, but you cannot copy images from the memory card to the internal memory.

SOURCE: Move images saved to the internal memory to the optional xD-Picture Card
The images saved to the internal memory can be copied to the xD Picture Card, but you cannot copy images from the xD Picture Card to the internal memory. Before you choose to copy the files to the xD card be sure that there is enough room on that card. To copy the images to the xD card make sure the camera is powered on, then and press the menu button. Use the down arrow key to navigate through the menu to the BACK UP feature. Use the right arrow key to enter the Back Up screen and select YES to copy the images to the xD card, or NO if you choose not to coy the image files.

I have tried your solution but on my camera menu there is no BACKUP option. How else do I save the photos from my internal memory to an SD card?? Also how many photos can my camera take?
HOW CAN I REPLACE MY PHOTOS THAT ARE SAVE TO THE INTERNAL MEMORY TO A SD MEMORYCARD?
I have an Olympus sp 350 camera and have lost the camera lead and took some photos on the camera I would like to copy to a memory card as I have a memory card reader which I could get the photos off?
thanks Joanna
