First the refrigerator portion lost cooling but the freezer was fine over time the freezer esentially turned into a refrigerator. It is no longer making ice or keeping things frozen, but is about as cool as the refrigerator should be. There is a layer of thick frost on the lower back wall of the freezer section.

Electrolux refrigerator not cooling

Is your freezer side working fine? If it is, and it is just the refrigerator portion of your appliance, then I would check the damper switch/door that is between the doors. The freezer actually sends its cool air into the refrigerator portion to help cool it.

Freezer not working

the symptoms you describe, freezer temperature rising while the fresh food section "seemed" ok, my guess is by the time you read my response, the fresh food side will be just as warm as the freezer. when the cooling pattern is similar to this, it has to do with the compressor no longer running. the compressor itself may be ok, instead the starter has failed, but i would not recommend you even attempt this yourself, as you can cause permanent damage to your compressor, property damage to your home, or electrocution hazards to your self. I would highly recommend you have a reliable refrigerator repair service at least inspect it for you.
