Oven light I just received my new Thermadore range. Is the oven light suppose to stay on during cooking? I Can't seem to find an answer in the manual.

Usually when oven's are switched on, their light remains on. for further help see following manual.

I'm sorry, I don't have an answer, but my radarange also began this odd behavior about a month ago... my son is a mechanic has almost forbade me to use it, stating he gets a headache everytime he opens it.... Once the range stops cooking, I open the microwave to get the food out, and the range immediately turns back on, lights on, and carousel turning! I have NO IDEA if the microwaves are engaged at this point???!!! But suppose I need to find out ASAP!

I assume you mean the internal oven light when you say 'bake' light. If so, the oven light you are referring to is the oven indicator light. When the element is receiving power the oven indicator light will be on. When it's not receiving power it will be off. The oven thermostat controls power to the element and the power cycles on and off during cooking so as to maintain the required temperature. This is a normal occurrence.

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE ELEMENTIS FAULTY AND ABOUT TO BURN OUT YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE ELEMENT AND YOUR OVEN SHOULD WORK LIKE NEW. GOOD COOKING.

this is called thermal breakage. basically, when the mfg. makes the glass, they either don't cook it long enough or let it harden long enough during manufacturing. remember, the glass is supposed to withstand over 1200 degrees, which is temperature during self cleaning. have a technician replace the door glass, as warranty should cover this.

F7-E1 - Common Switch Wire Is Defective - This error occurs when common wire to latch switch and door switch is shorted.
Check all connections at control board and at the latch switch and door switch.
If connections are ok, then check individual switches as outlined for the F5 error code.

times quoted seem about right and don't suppose your old oven was much different. element ratings don't vary much for same size ovens
