We have found that our window air conditioner had water inbetween the windows. We had a heat advisories out for today so it was running for a while. It's in a upstairs window where it gets warmer then usual. All we can find is the following. "Frigidaire Electrolux air conditioner" It was brought in 2002 or 2003. We have lost the manual to it. This is the first time it has happened and we did have it cleaned out a year or so ago.

Quite often the window units need to be tilted slightly toward outside to allow drainage to run outside the window. Try pulling bottom inward slightly so rear is tilted downward at outside and see if that doesn't cure it. You should soon see dripping outside at back of unit where it should be. Make sure you check for small hole under back end and check that it is clean and open.

Air conditioner is leaking

Hi Suzanne.
not sure if this will help you out,i found this on the internet.
Cause 1: Clogged condensate drain line. A clogged condensate drain line is the most common cause of water leaking from your AC into your home. If the drain line gets clogged with dust, dirt, sludge or mold, that water backs up into your home. In that case, you'll need to unclog it.11 Aug 2014

I just purchased The same air conditioner..it it continues to leak, the water has destroyed my carpet...is there a specific way I am suppose to drain it...I purchased it on Craigslist

Without more information you are out of luck on a complete answer. Normally a window AC (I am assuming a window unit) needs to be tilted a bit to the back so the water will run outside not inside. With two units doing that I am fairly confident that by tilting it to the back just enough for the water to go to the back your problems will be solved but about the carpet get a professional to clean it. Water not draining from unit. Drain pipe is dry outside but doesn't appear to be blocked?

I think your a/c is Room (window)air conditioner.
Normally, in window a/c the water gets evaporated with condenser heat. During winter season or on less ambient temp, the water flow will be there.

Bedroom window covered in condensation

Hi,

It' not a problem with the air conditioner it is just that the humidity in your room has changed. You quite often see a similar problem with gas heating. The only thing you can really do about it is get a dehumidifier or just run a towel at the base of the window to absorb the water as it runs down the window.

Hope this help.

Best regards,

Dave

Water is leaking from window air condition on the inside. What causes this to happen.

Reposition the air conditioner slightly. Tilt the window unit to where the water will run towards the backside and the problem will be solved.

Water in air conditioner

A lot of the newer window units design the outside fan to pickup the condensate water and sling it onto the coil. The evaporative effect makes the unit run more efficiently. They ususally don't spit, but if the unit is running well, otherwise, I would't worry about it.

My LG window air conditioner is spitting out water on the floor and I can't seem to find any hoses or water pan to clean it out

randobrad had it exactly for me, the port to the outside was cleared but the one from front to back was clogged. Once I found the small port (using a wire hanger) it was easy.
