My cd is loss in dcr-dvd703e installation of computer and connect to pc i want to free software install to connectivity of handycam to computer. thank you

Go to Google and type in the name of your handycam. Then type "driver" after the name. Hit Search, and find a driver for your specific computer. Then download and install.

Cd-rom part number for sony handycam
part number is 2-666-755-01 . I don't know why it is soooooo difficult for people to just give it up. I too was looking and finally found my disk. enjoy the number. This is for my DCR-HC26 but should work I think.

Cnt install camcorder software
Try installing the PMB software from this Link.

Follow the exact same steps as mentioned under Download and Installation Instructions on the page.

If the issue persists, disconnect the Camcorder, turn it OFF, connect it to the Computer and then turn it ON.

Then continue with installation process.

You need "Picture Package" software supplied with Sony camera to transfer video files in to PC. If you have software CD, please install it and connect your camrea with USB port.
If you dont have CD, check following Sony official weblink to download USB Driver, though it will not give you proper control on file transfer procedure yet it do help you to connect camera with PC.
