THE CHAIN SAW RUNS. THE CHAIN XS NEW. IT DOESN'T CUT THE SMALLEST OF BRANCHES

I don't mean to sound offensive, but is the chain on the right way? I've put 'em on backwards, even started the saw before I noticed. And is the chain running when the motor runs?

If the chain is right then you may have gotten a chain with a bad grind. Never heard of it but it could sure happen. Get back with me if the chain is right and it's turning- we'll get it to cut.

My new Remington Branch Wizard was taken from the box today and, the chain installed, hooked up, motor runs fine, but the chain won't turn. What's wrong with it?

Take it back. Remington Power is no longer in production anyway. You will eventually need parts that you will not be able to find.

Is the chain excessively tight? Remove the Sprocket cover, bar and chain. Actuate the switch momentarily while watching the sprocket gear (item 11).

Did it rotate? If no there is likely a failure in the gear train inside the power head (not repairable). If it rotates I suspect the chain was improperly installed or over tightened.

If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. Thank you for using FixYa and Good Luck. HTH

Need brushes for 111409-1 motor

Remington has ceased production. Parts availability is limited to what is on hand. Probably time to purchase a new pole saw. Purchase the cheapest product on the shelf and in 5 years they will be out of business too. Poulan and McCulloch (electric) have been in business for a very long time, I expect they will continue to provide a quality product with service after the sale for many years to come. HTH

I need to replace the brushes on my Remington Branch Wizard model 111409-1. I don't know the part # and can't find any links to order them from. Both Desa and Masterparts sites are defunct.

Those are the sources we would have suggested.
I had some luck here less than a week ago but it no longer works.

Try calling Remington 866-206-2707

Under parts it says you can get an entire refurbished unit for $59.99, but why would you? We can help no further. Sorry
