We have model 6053 braun blood pressure monitor. When we turn it on the screen shows err and that's all it has new batterys. Can it be reset? We don't have a manual. Thanks joe

For most Microlife blood pressure monitors, the error 3 indicates that the unit cannot reach the proper pressure in the cuff to start the test. If replacing the batteries doesn't work, check that the cuff is properly plugged into the socket on the monitor. Next you may need to replace the cuff. There may be a leak in the cuff or the hose between the cuff and the socket. These cuffs fit all of their devices except for the wrist versions.

This is a blood pressure monitor, not a camera. When it says err it means an error has occurred. If you consult the manual it should give you further information - if not, contact the nearest Braun service centre to where you are,

I have this problem too, after 9 years of reliable use. I can't find my manual either. From what I can see, the pressure release is going much faster than normal, too fast for the device to measure the BP. So i assume there is a problem with the air pressure relief valve, or there's a leak in the bladder system in the cuff. Looks like it's into the bin for my device.

take off battery enclosure and there is small button named "select"hold it until you hear beep, then you can change settings.with I/O button you can change value, with select go to next settingpress mem to save settings and hold select to discard them

Possible explanations and work-arounds based on various blood pressure monitors..net is if it has worked religiously like mine had and this error comes up, and the simple fixes below do not work, there is something internally wrong with the unit..there does not seem to be any customer reset or obvious fixes..contact the manufacturer for service..

With brand new batteries installed I turn ON to start the BP4900PH-WE blood pressure test, display show 00 and pressure pum try to start but after several automatic attemps and internal "clicks" sounds, display remain in "00" and pump doesn't star.

Turn it over tap little black gauge above battery cover with fingers turn on, err 3 code normally resolved.

Deflation Error - Movement or talking was detected during measurement.

Turn off the power and make another measurement while being quiet & still.

Wrist blood pressure monitors must be used with the arm above heart level. You can do the pledge of allegiance while doing a reading to make sure this is done. Usually this error occurs when inflation takes too long or the placement of cuff is wrong.
