• The issue is caused by the phonejack/memory chip assembly, located in the upper right rear of the phone has become unseated/loose and is causing your issues. I had the same problem and after I took the phone apart and put the assembly back in position, I eliminated the problem.
• If you are not mechanically inclined and/or have access to small tools and an open area to work in, do not attempt!!!! There are numerous small parts including the side buttons and keypad and the above mentioned assembly that are exposed when you seperate the two sections that make up the back of the phone. If you attempt the repair be extremely careful to note the position of parts before you take it apart and make sure they go back in correctly. It is a bit time consuming but doable.
• If you feel you can't do it yourself I'm sure that there are some online options for repair or perhaps a local repair shop that would do the repair. Good Luck

Try restarting the phone. Log in from a regular system and see if there are special messages waiting or if your contact list is too large (?). Additionally, try another client on the phone to see if it works better.
