SOURCE: Problem on card print using Fargo DTC525 Single Side Print model

I think the problem is in the printer definition. Perhaps the software is calling for the output to be duplexed. The printer does not have a duplex installed so it creates the error. On the other hand, if the printer does have the duplex option, then you are looking at a printer problem.

SOURCE: ribbon mis-cue?

When you have a ribbon mis-cue, first remove the ribbon. Go to the printer driver, printing preferences, calibrate, sensors. Click sesors then send... You should hear 2 beeps. Put you ribbon back in and try to print again.

If you still have the mis-cue it is a belt issue all DTC400's made 2006 and prior have had this belt issue. I don't recommend fixing this yourself, send it to a authorized Fargo repair center. This way it is under warranty.

the most common problem could be the rollers need replacing or a problem with the ribbon sensor. We do repairs and also repair under warranty, How old is your printer?

Fargo dtc 400 not printing screen says printing yellow?????

There's really very limited info in your question for us to go on, but we would: update the drivers; update the firmware; and perform a ribbon calibration. All of these can be performed from the (free) Fargo Workbench Utility program, which you can download from the manufacturer's website (Drivers Downloads ).

Otherwise, if you can reply with more details, such as:
1. What PC operating system are you using?
2. Is the printer pulling in a blank card, and then hangs at "Printing Yellow", or does it not get that far?
3. When hung at "Printing Yellow", can you here the ribbon spooling within the printer?
4. Have you checked another known good/new ribbon to see if perhaps you're just out of ribbon?
5. Is there any message showing on the PC? Or just the "Printing Yellow" message on the LCD screen?

Pictures and information on ID cards rubs off after printing

Go into "Printers and Faxes", found in your start menu. Right click on the printer (Dtc 550). Select Printing Preferences. Under the "Device Options" tab, click "Auto Ribbon Select" (make sure to have the ribbon installed, as you would normally).

After being prompted with a "Success" message, try printing again.

If the problem persists, you need to update the printer's firmware. you can find the firmware file and update utility, Fargo Workbench, here Drivers Downloads

My DTC 400 bladge printer jams a lot.

The DTC400 has an o ring that drives the card feed rollers. Fargo has had a problem on older DTC400 printers with the o ring stretched or broke. This causes irregular feed roller issues, ribbon breakage or misalignment of print registration.

It is recommended to do a ribbon sensor calibration. This can be done through your print driver using the directions in this link.

Your DTC400 came with a two year manufacturer warranty. Contact Fargo Technical Support at 800-459-5636.

Problem on card print using Fargo DTC525 Single Side Print model

you can check with fargo, or perhaps your vendor is giving you the bad rep, since they refuse to help you. i would not do business with them again.

if the printer worked before maybe the program needs to be reinstalled.
