Will Print Black and White but Won't Print Color

My HP PSC 1315 All-in-One is printing all text and B&W things perfectly, but will not print any color. All of my color pictures are printing out with the B&W areas visible but not the color areas. I've checked the ink level and cleaned the color cartridge, and I've already checked the settings...everything is as it should be but no color is coming out. What's wrong??

Prints black text as dark blue, using tri-color cartridge instead of black cartridge

You will need to reconfigure the print head. Open the software for your printer and select align the print head, or a similar option. This worked for me on a similar printer.

Is there a way to print in b&W when the printer is telling me that I need to replace the color cartridge? It is a HP 1315

In some printers it is not possible to print without both catridges working. However, yours may not be one of them.
When you print, make sure you go into 'Print Properties' and scour the options until you find one that lets you select 'Black and White' only. Grayscale ususally uses the color cartridge, at which point, the printer will notify you that you need to change the cartridge.
If switching to pure black and white printing is not working for you, then yes, you do need a new cartridge.

HP psc 2175 skips when "copy"

replace the black print cartridge. I guess that the text is B&W. Pictures are printed in color - from the color ink cartridge.
