I have a Canon MP150 printer. I would like to print on my "ink jet transparencies", but there is no option for "transparencies" in the paper options. What should I use as the paper option?

Use the paper option, BUT you need special inkjet transparency film. If you use normal transparency film the ink cannot dry properly and will streak.

Can i print onto Transparency film from my Canon MG 6150 as there is no setting for transparencies, what paper setting would i use

Try the setting for glossy photo media. You want a minimum of ink. Also use the transparency media intended for ink jet AND observe the correct side to be printed on.

Can I print transparencies from my Canon iP1800

Transparency can only be printed by a laser jet. from a ink jet the ink will come off. you can try a photo copy machine that will work for sure

I want to buy a printer that I can use only transparent paper

You can get transparency foils for either laser or most ink jet printers.

You USUALLY need to make a setting in the printer setup screen for transparency.

Transparencies take more time to dry for the ink jets so do them and don't stack them till dry. Also you have to pay attention to which surface to have the printing on. One side will take the ink, the other it won't dry.

Can I print on transparencies with my canon mp150 ? If so, what settings/icc do I use?

Yes, but they need to be specially made ink jet transparencies such as this:

Amazon Inkjet Transparencies

Canon recommends their own CF-102 transparency sheets. Set paper thickness lever to the Left and the Media Type to Transparency.

See page 17 of the manual for a list of all Canon specialty papers. Here is a link to the manual:

I want to print on transparency film; can't find it as an option

Go to the printing preference in your software driver and to the right you should see a "media type" radio button.Look through your choices and you should see a category for tranparencies.
Also make sure the the box under the media type shows auto sheet feeder.

Printer says ''waste Ink absorber is full'' see service center

This is what the manual says: Ink used for cleaning is absorbed in a waste ink absorber placed in the machine. Press [OK] to cancel the error so that you can continue printing. Once the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, printing cannot be done until the waste ink absorber is replaced.
Canon recommends to contact a Canon service representative as soon as possible.

My canon mp 150 has a warning ink refill cartridge

After so many prints the printer gives you this warning because it is possible that the waste ink pads (that collect any spilt ink in the bottom of the printer) are full. You have two options. You can either reset the waste ink counter and the printer will run but might get some ink leakage if it has had a lot of use or replace the pad and reset the counter.

A waste ink kit for this printer is Canon part number QY5-0149-000. A quick search on the will get you the part for about £5. Too fit it you will need to take the printer apart but that is easy with a service manual from here: http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/4589462-canon-pixma-mp150-printer-service-manual The manual will also tell you how to reset the waste counter.

Hope that helps.
