Kenmore washer not draining water

Hello there, I have a Kenmore washer (model # 110.13212200) that is not draining water. The washer fills up with water, washes the clothes, but will not drain or spin at all. The washer will automatically stop after washing the clothes and stay there. Do you have a ny idea what could be wrong with my washer? Any advice or things I should check for? Thanks fo ryour help!

Check for defective lid switch or switch just out of adjustment.

How do I check and replace the water level sensor on my Kenmore 80 Series Hvy Dty Washer?

Try eserviceinfo.com/index as per your 80 series. There are various downloads there that may help access the water level sensor which is most likely the problem.

Hello,

THe leading cause of the Kenmore washer not draining is a broken lid switch. http://www.fixya.com/support/r9939128-whirlpool_kenmore_estate_kitchen_aid

The part number for the lid switch on your model is 3949238 it could be purchased from your local appliance parts store or online at;

Hello. My washer seems to be filling up with too much water. It is draining during the draining cycles but fills up with so much water that it is above the window and starts coming out the soap drawer. ...

Sounds like you water level switch is bad.
Without model # I can't research the part # but if you open the lid there will be a metal plate with a model # xxx.xxxxxx go to www.sears.com and select "parts direct" under the sevice drop down and enter the model # where indicated.
You will get a page with exploded views of the washer and a list of part#s

Washer fill or drain but does not spin

It's not supposed to spin during water fill and draining, if I understand your post.

Kenmore series 70 washer will only fill with water.

I recently had this problem. It was found that the main drive belt broke and the washer would fill but not spin, agitate or drain. I replaced the belt and everything worked again. A defective or disconnected cover switch would also cause the same problem.

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

10 year old model kenmore top load washing maching won't fill.

That means that eithere the membrane water lever switch is faulty (most common) or that the drain pump solenoid is stuck on open.

Stackable kenmore model 41794702300

We have had that happen too. You will need to take out what ever has blocked the valve on the drain. Ours was a bobby pin! My model is a bit different but if you follow the drain hose underneath you can find it. Remember you are dealing with lots of water. I think I scooped out the water first and have some towels ready. Or hire somebody to do it for you. I hope that helps.
