Look inside near the evaporator coil they are usually on the end or in front of the sheet metal cover, they can be hard to find, so the average shopper can't play with it.

The only thing it could be is the thermostat. Or, maybe your thermometer is reading wrong. Is everything freezing up? The thermostat is located up near the top usually on the side of the fan housing inside. It is easy to replace if you have a refrigeration supply company close by.
All refrigeration equipment has some sort of temperature control, either a temperature control knob(1,2,3,4 or A,B,C,D settings) or the unit has a pressure control to control the box temperature. The pressure control would be in the bottom of the case with the compressor.
Unplug the unit & remove the plate holding the thermostat. The capillary for the thermostat will go into a very small tube that runs into the evaporator coil. You will probably not be able to see the tube but will have to feel for it and get a good orientation for where it is located before you pull the capillary out. Try to measure the amount of capillary in the tube as you pull it out so you know how far you have to push the new one in and put some kind of tape or mark on the new capillary before you try to push it in. you might have to soap up the capillary to get it to slide easier.
