The camera has a Memory Back-Up function located in the Play menu. Please refer to the Reference Manual on the CD-ROM for this procedure.

I can't view images on Internal memory when SD card is inserted.

Put the card in, then select "Copy" from the playback menu. You will then be given the option of copying individual images or all of them. See the instructions beginning on page 99 of the manual: http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/manuals/pdf/index/s/finepix_s5700_s700_s5800_s800_manual_01.pdf

If your camera will not read or transfer internal images on to memory card

When your camera will not transfer images onto memory card this is often because the image storage has been set to 'Auto'. You need to set it back to internal memory temporarily to allow you to copy the images over to the card. Once you have done this you can set the camera back to 'Auto' and this will reset the system and you will now have access to all of the images on the card.

This particular procedure works with all cameras but the steps outlined here are for Kodak in particular.

Please follow these steps;
1) Insert the card

2) Turn the camera to Auto

3) Press review - "reading memory card"

4) Press menu and scroll down to image storage and press ok

5) Select Internal Memory and press OK

6) Scroll down to Copy - Copy Pictures to memory card

7) Scroll down to ALL and press OK - you should see "Copying" displayed

8) When the screen goes back to the main menu - Scroll to Image storage again and select Auto - OK - "Reading memory card"

You should now be able to see the pictures from your internal memory saved onto your memory card and your camera is once again ready to use.

Kodak easyshare m360 says memory full after 3 photos i just bought the camera, what i shell do < shell i buy memory card or usb for it ?

You need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.
  • Menu
  • Cam settings
  • Chose AUTO or SD card option
  • Press OK to SD card
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

If you experience problems:
The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.
Please turn the lever and try again.

The SD card might not be supported by the model: Your camera Memory card support is SD/MMC up to 2 Gigabyte and SDHC up to 8 Gigabyte

The SD card might not be faulty, try another card, since the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.
Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.

Once you have set the settings to save onto the SD card directly you might like to transferre your existing pictures from the internal memory onto the SD card:

SmartMedia - how to download images without USB cable

get a new cable. or a new card reader. i prefer card readers as i can take my camera around to various events, and if a friend wants an image, he can attach the reader to his computer (if nearby) and get what he wants.
are you sure your computer can directly read smart media cards?
possible it does, but not that common unless its fairly new.

How do I retrieve pictures and voice messages?

The camera uses a high speed connection to retrieve images and sounds. Simply connect the serial cable to the camera and PC, and the images and voice messages from the camera's internal memory or optional SmartMedia card are transferred to the computer at up to 115 Kbps. User's can also use an optional 3.3V SSFDC or SmartMedia card adapters to transfer the images directly from a SmartMedia adapter interface to their computer's hard disk drive. Also in development is a 3.5" diskette drive adapter for users to retrieve images directly from their diskette drive to their computer's hard drive.
