You may need to check your credit card info associated with your Apple ID. You're not the only one who has this problem. I used to have it.
for apple id go to setting> itunes & app store or icloud
its usually going to be your email address and if you dont have the password
settings> itunes & appstore. click the apple id> iforgot

What you were experiencing is because Apple implemented a new security measure to make sure the device you were using is legitimate. Therefore, you were asked to enter security code for your account. To fix this:
1. Enter your credit card security code (For VISA/Mastercard, it's the 3 digit code at the end of your card number on the back of your credit card. For American Express, it's the 4 digit code at the end of your card number on the front)
2. Proceed with the login
3. You should now able to download/purchase
Go to the mac site, and download itunes which is the program used to syn your phone to your computer. There are many sites and applications that can be downloaded to your iphone from there. You can either download to computer, then sync to your phone, or if you have the applications icon on your iphone, you can download directly to your iphone....

To download applications on iPhone, you need to open an Apple ID. Once your apple id is created (on apple website), you can download apps from your iphone. When the app is free, it will not be charged.

You'll still need a cellphone service account...most likely with ATT.
