When attempting to load a tape into the AG-DV2000, the cassette door does not open and the display reads F07.

i had the same issue with my ag-dv2000, a fun problem to solve without a service manual. first verify we are dealing with the same issue.first open hopper fully and apply power. you should get an f06 error(failure to close in required time), now close hopper and apply power, you should get a f07 error (failure to open in required time). if this is the case the bad part is the motor drive ic. ic 1 on the motor drive board mounted to bottom of dv mech. it is a 10 pin ic labeled xra6887. i have not located a source yet but you can confirm the chip is bad by replacing it with ic6502 on the same board. if you put the bad chip in place of ic 6502 you will ground power supply and will not have power, leave it out. it controls threading motor, not needed to verify problem. the door should work now. dont put in a tape untill you replace bad chip. if you find the panasonic part number for this part please post it. happy desoldering!

CD player just stopped. Will not respond. Will not open when insertion button is pressed, It just keeps indicating the functions (load, open, etc) but doesn't do anything at all.

The loading motor drive is faulty or the mechanism is jammed. You will have to remove the top cover and check for voltage to the load motor when the open button is pressed, if voltage is present , then motor can be faulty ,jammed. remove , replace or reset.
If there is no voltage press on connectors from the motor drive IC, check voltage here, use a soldering iron to touch up .
if not the drive IC control inputt must receive signal from processor control. If yes then the drive IC can be faulty.

What is meant by error code SC 403

From the service manual:
SC403: Transfer belt position sensor error

-Definition-
The transfer belt position sensor does not activate even if the transfer belt clutch has rotated once.

- Possible causes -
• Main motor/drive malfunction
• Transfer belt position sensor defective
• Poor transfer belt position sensor connection

According to the manual, provided there isn't a major problem with the machine, you can reset the service code by turning off the MAIN POWER switch for a 10-seconds and then turning it back on. This should reset the code provided the problem doesn't reoccur. NOTE: The main power switch is a rocker switch on the front or left side of the machine, not a push-button switch up on the control panel.

Probably not a big help, but hopefully at least a little. I can't offer you much better advice, as I don't work on machines of this age, sorry.

Dvd player does not read dvd

Suggests that the motor regulator IC has problems spinning the disk in a normal way so it will overheat and start to behave in an erratic way - consequentially it may have problems stopping the disk before it ejects.

However, this does not necessarily mean that the IC is bad (far from it), it is just overheating and will usually do so when the spindle motor has oxydized brush contacts - this means that the motor resistance is now higher and that it will not spin at a correct speed with the voltage supplied from the IC.

The electronics will then try to compensate for the speed, but the IC may overheat and start messing up.

Cleaning or replacing the spindle motor might solve the problem, but if the motor can not be replaced because of the unit design and buildup, then this usually calls for the replacement of the entire disk mechanism.

Anyway, this is just one of the possible causes, you might want to try cleaning the laser pickup lens first, but i'm not sure if doing so will make things any better.

My lg rumor's vibration randomly stops working, so my phone seems like its on silent and i miss alerts because i keep my phone on vibrate. is there any way to fix this?

hello

The problem you have mentioned here can be due to following reasons.

  • The ******** is just a small DC motor which may be malfunctioning. You can replace that motor.
  • The connecting pins which connect the motor to the PCB is not aligned properly so check that also.
  • The motor driver IC is malfunctioning. This IC can be replaced but only by a professional.
Thank you.

Technics 1200

FYI, there is no motor on these units. The only thing that makes these babies go round is various capacitors, resistors, and IC's... all which play a crucial role in control and maintaining the unit's speed. If you do not have enough torque, then the issue is probably with one of the main IC's (IC101, IC102, or IC201) - however, it could be any of the other circuits as well. A qualified technician should be able to pin point the problem and have it repaired for you. The repair on this isn't that expensive. I'm going to assume 350E is euro? If so, you might as well buy yourself a new Technics 1200 for that amount. If it is not euro, then this type of repair should cost you about $70-120 - including parts and labor. (these are the prices we charge in our NYC shop - for comparison purposes).
