When I'm on PC2 it works fine, then When I toggle to PC1 and go back to PC2 the mouse and keyboard does not work. SOURCE: logitech ex110 keyboard stopped working all of a sudden

If you know the batteries are good, then turn the keyboard over and find the small reset/connect button and press it. This resets /connects the board to the receiver. If it still doesn work, press the button on the receiver and then the mouse. Hope this is of help to you. Bud

PC no longer detects mice

You said that you are using a USB mouse, when you tried another mouse on this PC was it also a USB mouse, or one of the more basic mice you plug into the tower? I suggest trying to use one of these mice so that you may have a working mouse, and then if that works use it to try to get at some of the input settings that could be in need of adjusting.

Hope this helps some.

Asus 1005ha down arrow suddenly began toggling full screen

Try this:
Go to your computers manufactor and download the systems frimware drives (BIOS,Motherboad, etc). look to see if they have any drivers for the keyboard. This could be the result of corrupted drivers gone heywire.

Good luck!

I have a Dell PC and I unplugged the mouse and the keyboard temporarily to clean it. When I plugged them both back into the tower and turned on the computer, neither one worked. I tried to restart, shut...

To try to resolve the issue:
1.) Will a different keyboard and mouse work (PS2 is the name of these connections)
If they will, damage to the keyboard and mouse is likely)
2.) Will a usb mouse and keyboard work?
If they do, then the problem is with the controller on the mobo, unlikley but MAY have been casued by static.

If the USB keyboard and mouse do not work, you have some problems with the motherboard

Try switching off and unplugging the computer, remove the coin shaped BIOS battery and plug in the keyboard and mouse, wait 2 minutes or so and put the battery back, replug in and power on, see if the bios detects the keyboard and mouse (you will see the bios screen flash up a message). If the computer does nOT detect the keyboard and mouse it will (or should) flash a message on the screen saying "no PS2 keyboard or mouse detected".

If this fails to detect the mouse and keyboard and you get no message or beeps, then there may be damage to the connector ports.

If you can get a USB keyboard and mouse to work, use them, Effecting a repair to the motherboard will not be a viable option

I turn on my computer and although the mouse and the keyboard are connected they won't work. I am sure the mouse and the keyboard are fine. There is something wrong with the desktop.

Base from the description of your problem it seems that your computer is having some issue in recognizing your mouse and keyboard.

So what you can do here first is to power off the computer manually by pressing the power button until it shut down, then once its OFF unplug and replug your mouse and keyboard from the computer then power it back ON and check if its fine now.

Batteries ran down in the optical mouse. I put in new batteries and now I can't get the mouse to work. it's frozen

Remove the battery off and keep aside from within the mouse. Now disconnect the USB - optical detector to the PC. Shut down the PC . Replace battery once again and power the PC, then connect the USB to see if the mouse is detected.
If not remove off installed software of the optical device and reinsert once again so that it gets detected.

Wireless mouse and keyboard issues

If you have both sets of keyboard and mouse plugged in, turn off the computer and remove the old mouse and plug in the new mouse. Reboot and if necessary use the keyboard to login. Once windows is loaded let it detect the new mouse and then shut down again. Take out the old keyboard and reboot. You should now be able to use both new pieces without problems.

Re: wireless mouse and keyboard; mouse not detected

I bought the same combo from a parts house. The guy told me the mouse didn't work but didn't know why. I had the same problem. When I inspected the mouse closely, I found that the connect button on the bottom of the mouse had stuck underneath the housing...basically in the "connect position". When I freed it, the mouse worked and still works just fine. Hope this helps
