CF card problem

A slightly similar experience in that a Memory Stick Duo inexplicably set itself to write protect. No matter what I did, I couldn't format it. I was forced to buy another card. If possible, test it with another card or two. If it happens with more than two or three cards, then I would suspect the camera.

Filters

Yes, the Olympus E-20N has a 62mm filter thread size. You can attach a standard 62mm lens filter directly on the lens. Color filters would not have an effect on the camera due to the auto white balance.

RAW quality mode option

In the RAW mode, the image is compiled of raw data with no compression and no enhancing settings from the camera such as sharpness, contrast etc. It provides a higher dynamic range with the maximum image quality without being processed, so the user can apply his/her own changes to the file. The file will have a .ORF (Olympus Raw File) extension. It can be read using a supplied PhotoShop Plug-in or the Olympus Camedia 2.5 program.

Household type connector

You will need to purchase a sync cord that will separate apart (usually at the middle) with a standard two-prong connector. Just simply disconnect the sync cord, turn it 180 ° and plug it in. (These cords can be purchased at www.paramountcords.com)
